National Police Week started in 1962 when President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating the week of May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day, which is now known as National Police Week, to honor those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Thank you to all of our current and fallen officers, near or far, who have put their lives on the line to keep communities safe around the country!
